The CHS is a body within the British Kingdom of OTOF. It operates as a network of learning cooperatives covering a wide range of differing magical traditions. The word "College" is perhaps misleading. The CHS engages with none of the common academic memes; there are no examinations or tests. Each individual member of the College is expected both to learn and to teach. All members of CHS, regardless of age or experience, are given the opportunity to teach their brethren that which they know.
Participation in the activities of the CHS is in no wise necessary or obligatory for OTOF members. However, members may find the College a useful resource when it comes to following the instructions of their initiations. Whether they choose to do so or not is entirely their own prerogative, and care has been taken to ensure that whilst appropriate guidance in these areas is available, the work will not be done for them!
Non-members of OTOF may be invited to attend certain lectures given under the auspices of the CHS. Full membership and participation is open only to members of the Order.
The objectives of the CHS are as follows:
- To consolidate the diverse magical specialities of the OTOF membership and allow them to actively share information and practical techniques.
- To offer training in basic ritual skills to those members who have little experience of magick in the more limited sense, enabling them to contribute more fully to Lodge activities.
- To provide an opportunity for additional group workings outside of the context of the Lodge.
- To enhance the knowledge and skills of all participants.
